President Obama will be the headliner tonight at a fundraiser/concert event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Musicians John Legend, Michael Franti, and Boyd Tinsley (the Dave Matthews Band's violinist) will be performing, and 49ers quarterback Alex Smith will be on hand as well. Tickets, which ranged from $100 to $4500, appear to be sold out. Doors open at 5:30pm, but the event will be preceded at 5pm by a $20,000-a-plate dinner prepared by Tyler Florence and Alice Waters. So basically: expect traffic, crowds, and protesters at Civic Center right around rush hour tonight. Should bea nightmare quite a scene.
