With all of the great public art in Hayes Valley, it's no surprise that there are plenty of talented artists working in the neighborhood. And this weekend, some of them will be opening their studios to the public.
This is the first weekend of SF Open Studios, a monthlong event in which artists around the city open their studios to visitors. Each weekend, artists in a different area of the city participate, and October 13/14 is Hayes Valley's turn in the spotlight. According to artscenesf.com, at least five Hayes Valley artists will be participating this weekend: Philippe Jestin - 646 Laguna Madeline Behrens-Brigham & Jamie Lopez - 616 Hayes St Z McGarigle - 500 Buchanan Jennifer Maria Harris - 239 Page The studios are scheduled to be open from 11am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday, so you have plenty of time to swing by for a visit.
