Lower Haight Leftovers: Steak Edition
Art, music, and beer for John Coltrane. It's Friday, and you know what that means -- it's time for some Lower Haight Leftovers.

Tonight, Underground SF hosts the return of Push the Feeling, epicsauce's monthly DJ-fueled extravaganza. Tonight's lineup includes live performances by Blackbird Blackbird and James & Evander, a DJ set by Baron Von Luxxury, and of course the regular residents YR SKULL and epicsauce DJs. That's tonight at Underground SF, 424 Haight, from 9pm until 2am. There's a $5 cover, but it's free before 10pm with your Facebook RSVP.
Tomorrow (Saturday), it's the latest Brewtruc beer garden at 160 Church Street. This time, many of the D5 candidates will be on hand to mix and mingle with you over a pint or two. Expect $5 craft beers, music by Chicken Paw, and fun from 1 to 5pm, with proceeds going to the Church of St. John Coltrane.
Tomorrow night, Two Jacks hosts Lyrical Exercise, an open-mic night hosted by Eric Keith. From 6pm to 9pm, you're invited to come enjoy "the flow of all things positive and fun" -- or perhaps step up to the mic yourself? That's every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at Two Jacks, 401 Haight.
This weekend is SF Open Studios, in which artists around the city will be opening their studios to the public. We're not sure if any Lower Haight artists are participating, but there are certainly a few open studios within walking distance. Check out the map at artscenesf.com for more.
If you've ever wanted to attend a D5 candidate debate, but just haven't had the time, now you can watch one from the comfort of your home. Footage of a September 26th debate hosted by the Divisadero Merchants Association and NoPa+ has been posted here.
Finally, want to be a barista at Cafe du Soleil? Because they're hiring.
That's all for this week! Anything else? tips [at] haighteration {{dot}} com.
