Free cookies, a mysterious freezer, and rainbow-colored hair? It's gotta be another edition of Lower Haight Leftovers.
Let's get to it.
Who doesn't want a free cookie? Today is World Smile Day, and in an unlikely collaboration, Glad (the trash bag people) and Hey Cookie! (the Castro-based cookie delivery lady) are teaming up to distribute free cookies tonight at local bars. Just show up at Mad Dog, Noc Noc, Danny Coyle's, or Molotov's tonight, and you'll likely snag yourself a Mexican wedding cookie, peanut butter cookie, or Rice Krispies treat.
Tonight, DSF hosts the opening of "Beautiful Regurgitation"- works by artist Sean Sczepanik. The First Friday event will also feature booze, tunes, discounts, and giveaways. That's tonight from 8pm to 11pm at DSF (520 Haight).
Animal House employee Cliff Moser might win the award for most unique hair in the Lower Haight. Check out the Chronicle's recent profile of Moser for the colorful details.
Want to own Sushi Raw? Not the business, but the space -- and the apartment above it? Well, here's your chance. 682 Haight is available for a cool $2.6 million.
Aquarius Barber Shop (505 Haight) unveiled a new name this week: Mack's.
Octavia and Market has officially been declared San Francisco's most dangerous intersection. Watch out.
Finally, Three Twins posted a photo this week inside their former storefront on Fillmore Street. The photo shows the space, still very much under construction, but curiously with an ice cream freezer already inside it:

As it turns out, there's a reasonable explanation: "we needed to get the freezer in while the facade of the store was down, as the freezer is too wide to fit through the door."
That's all we got this week. If we missed anything, do let us know. tips [at] haighteration {{dot}} com.
