Remember when you were little, and you learned things about rain forests, and dinosaurs, and space -- and it was fun?
We're happy to report that you're never too old to learn, dear reader. And this weekend, you can do it for free.
The California Academy of Sciences, that plant-topped jewel of a museum in Golden Gate Park, is having one of its neighborhood free weekends this Friday to Sunday. Residents of certain zip codes will receive free admission to the museum (usually $29.95 for adults) with valid photo ID and proof of residency. This weekend's lucky zip codes are 94102, 94103, 94104, 94105, 94107, 94111, 94112, 94124, 94130, 94134, and 94158, although we're only really concerned about that first one. So go west, Hayes Valleyans, and indulge in some free science this weekend. Your brain, inner child, and wallet will thank you.
