A week from today, they're throwing their first-ever Chicken Wing Eating Contest at Lucky 13. And there are still a few slots open for competitors. There are two events: • Who can eat the most Angry Korean Wings in 10 minutes, and... • Who can eat 10 "hella hella hot wings" the fastest For full rules, and to find out how to enter, click here. And if you'd just like to be a spectator, swing by Lucky 13 next Tuesday night at 6pm. A $5 suggested donation at the door gets you in, plus there'll be a raffle with prizes from local businesses including Papalote, Laundry Locker, Firehorse, and Three Twins. PBR will be on hand with beer & Jameson specials, and Three Twins will provide ice cream to cool off the contestants. DJ Doc Fu will man the tunes. Proceeds benefit the Western Addition Beacon Center, an organization that runs after-school programs at John Muir Elementary. So when your face is on fire, you can take comfort in knowing you're suffering for a good cause. Should be a hella hella hot night, indeed. Get hungry, and spread the word.
