The 400 block of Castro Street (between Market and 18th Streets) will be CLOSED to vehicle traffic tomorrow evening (Tuesday, November 6, 2012 - Election Day) from about 7:30PM until about 10PM or 10:30PM.
The closing is similar to one four years ago on the evening of the Presidential Election, which resulted in peaceful gatherings (ie, no setting fire to MUNI). No booze will be allowed on the street and sidewalks and in Harvey Milk and Jane Warner Plazas.
