New in the Neighborhood: Terrific Thai
Less than two months after Chilli Cha Cha closed, Terrific Thai has opened for business at 494 Haight Street. But don't expect to find a close incarnation of the previous tenant.

Instead, when it comes to look and feel, the restaurant does a complete 180. The inside decor consists of simple colors of red and dark wood. They've taken out the seating in the front, and instead have installed bench seating for those getting their food to go.
You'll find all of your favorite Thai dishes on the menu, like yellow chicken curry, pumpkin curry, and pad see-ew. They also have some unique appetizers, like the five-spice duck spring roll, or the firecracker balls -- fresh ahi tuna rolls breaded with panko and deep fried, served with a mustard sauce. And there are vegan options as well, for that one friend of yours who always screws up dinner plans with their incredibly specific dietary restrictions.
Terrific Thai is a whole new and separate restaurant from Chili Cha Cha -- new owners, new menu items, and new decor. It's open Monday through Friday for lunch from 11am to 3pm and dinner 5pm to 10:30pm, and weekends from noon to 10:30pm. Swing by and give this newest addition to the neighborhood a try.
