biscuit-logoWikipedia defines zeitgeist as the spirit of the time, the intellectual fashion or dominant school of thought which typifies and influences the culture of a particular period in time. As 2012 comes to a close and we greet 2013 for all the opportunities it will hold, we thought it would be interesting to share a few trends from our blog stats to see what readers found the most interesting (and because I'm a big nerd and I like that kinda stuff). The list is based on anonymous data collected from Google keyword searches into the blog, searches ran on the blog, and page views on posts. The Nudity Controversy dominated when it came to stories that piqued readers interest, followed by MUMC's handling of the request to fly the Transgender Pride Flag for Transgender Day of Remembrance, the Giants winning the World Series, and the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Places like Castro's first sports-themed gay bar, Hi Tops, and Jane Warner plaza were popular in searches too.
