Today and tomorrow at Civic Center, there will be a free children's snow park open to the public. We think.

Funcheap reports that the two-day event will feature a big snow hill (just for kids, sorry), along with other free family activities like bouncy houses. You're also encouraged to bring nonperishable food items, which will be collected by the San Francisco Food Bank as part of their Holiday Food Drive. The uncertainty about the event stems from the fact that the only official mention of it we could dig up was a paragraph at the end of a press release from nearly a month ago. But, assuming the rumors are true, this will be happening from 10am to 6pm today and tomorrow. We'll keep an eye on it. Update 12:50pm: It's happening!
