It's come to our attention that we may have a problem.
Specifically, a coffee problem. There are plenty of places in the Lower Haight to grab a cup of coffee, but not all cups are created equal. And in at least a few people's opinions, not all cups are created drinkable. Over on Twitter this week, Wing Wings raised the issue:

This prompted enough concurring responses that we figured it was a good time to address the issue. While so-called "third wave" coffee has taken hold in adjacent neighborhoods -- does Hayes Valley really need Ritual and Blue Bottle, less than a block apart? -- the Lower Haight is a little late to the trend. Yes, Duboce Park Cafe now carries Sightglass, and Vinyl brews Blue Bottle, but in some other Lower Haight cafes, the coffee hasn't kept up with the times. So what we want to know is: who has the best cup of joe in the neighborhood? Who has the worst? And what coffee company would you most like to see open an outpost in the Lower Haight?LOWER HAIGHT NEEDS GREAT COFFEE.SOMEBODY PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
