That Volkswagen commercial being filmed on Waller this week got us wondering about another project that was recently filmed here -- the movie "Big Sur."
It was nearly two years ago that a scene from the movie about Jack Kerouac was filmed in the neighborhood. It turns out the movie recently premiered at Sundance, and the trailer has been posted online: We didn't spot much of the Lower Haight in the trailer, but it sure does make Northern California look gorgeous. No date has been announced for the film's wide release yet -- we'll keep an eye on it.
