It's the end of an era for Marlena's (488 Hayes), which will be throwing its Grand Finale starting at noon today.
As we mentioned back in January, Marlena's has been sold, and today is the final shout for the bar. The festivities are scheduled from noon today until closing (2am). We'll post a full recap and tribute tomorrow, but for now, go enjoy one last drink at this Hayes Valley institution, and thank Garry/Marlena for 23 great years in the neighborhood.
