Technically, Earth Day isn't until Monday. But there's nothing wrong with celebrating this crazy planet a couple days early.
At Civic Center today from 10am to 6pm, there will be a full-blown festival dedicated to "acknowledging the local and planetary environmental challenges we all face, and inviting the public to integrate sustainable practices into their everyday lives." We're talking a fashion show, an eco-village, mass yoga, permaculture, sustainable beer/wine gardens, 2 kiddie playgrounds, 80+ vendors, an "edutainment" stage with live music, and much more. Mother Nature is obviously cooperating today, so it's almost your duty to get out there and have some highly-sustainable fun. See you there?
