Wing Wings is usually closed on Tuesdays, but not tonight. Instead, they'll be hosting another pop-up event from Hapa Ramen.
Hapa uses modern cooking techniques and local, organic ingredients to put their own spin on those traditional noodle bowls. They can usually be found at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market or Off the Grid, though they've done a handful of these pop-up nights at Wing Wings in the past. Tonight, they return for more. The menu is slated to include: Chicken Ramen ($12) All chicken broth, sesame oil poached chicken breased, snow peas, garlic chives Pork Cheek or Pork Sparerib Bento ($10) Slow cooked glazed pork, rice, macaroni salad Susanna's Fried Rice Bento ($8) Grilled pork, chicken and steak fried rice, broccoli, and cabbage Plus there are a bunch of add-ons for your ramen, like chicken skin confit gravy, slow-cooked egg, and housemade pickes & kimchi. This happens tonight, from 6pm to 10pm, at Wing Wings (422 Haight). You can RSVP over on the event's Facebook page if you so desire. And if you miss tonight's pop-up, don't fret -- they'll be returning to Wing Wings next Tuesday as well.
