We've got a little update for you on La Urbana, the new mezcal-focused venture coming soon to Divisadero and Grove.
Reader Dana D. spotted some work being done at the old Plant It Earth space this week. Specifically, she noticed a couple of contractors taking measurements and painting lines on the cement outside in front of the location. So, we checked back in with Eduardo Rallo, co-owner of La Urbana, to see what's up. Eduardo told us they were getting a barricade up to begin working "full speed" on the space this week. As we reported back in February, La Urbana is envisioned as a 110-seat Mexican restaurant and mezcal bar, with a focus on local and organic ingredients. Rallo now tells us they're aiming to open "this summer." We'll keep you posted.
