A date has been set for the next outdoor movie night in Duboce Park -- and it's gonna be a creepy one.
On Saturday, July 27th, the event returns with a screening of 1978's Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The film, which stars Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Jeff Goldblum, and Leonard Nimoy, centers on a group of San Franciscans who discover that "the human race is being replaced one by one, with clones devoid of emotion." As with many previous Duboce Park movie nights, this one features a film that was shot at least partially in the neighborhood. (See our Lower Haight in Film roundup for others.) The free event will kick off around 8:30pm on July 27th, preceded by some short films made by students and staff from the Harvey Milk Rec Center. Refreshments will be available, as usual.
