knife-stabbing-crime---96937441This past weekend was a busy one for criminals in the Castro area with more than a handful of acts of criminal activity including four robberies, one burglary, and one stabbing. Starting Thursday night: Around 10PM, the victim, a white male in his 30's, was on his phone near the corner of 16th and Church Street when three black males (18-25 years old) drove up and tried to take his phone. The victim resisted and one of the suspects grabbed his bag and took off in the car. No injuries. Friday: Around midnight, another white male in his 30's was approached by two suspects near 16th and Church Street. One of the suspects grabbed the victim and punched him in the eye. The victim gave up his cell phone and his wallet. The two suspects fled on foot. The victim suffered a laceration above his eyebrow, but did not go to the hospital. Saturday: At about 2AM, a 24-year old white male was walking near Castro and Liberty Street when a car that has passed by him made a U-turn and approached him. The suspect, a black male around 35-40 years of age, got out of the vehicle and asked for directions. The suspect then showed the victim the handle of a gun then pointed it at him. The suspect took the victims money and drove off northbound on Castro Street. The vehicle was described as a 2-door white car. At around 4 in the morning near the 300 block of Noe Street, two kids were playing video games in their bedroom when they heard noises in the house. The kids (ages 13 and 17) and their father called the police. Officers arrived on scene to find the suspect, a 26-year old white male, dressed in the 13-year olds clothes. The suspect also had possession of the 13-year olds cell phone. At 11:40PM, two Hispanic males got in a fight outside of a club they had just left near 18th and Castro. The 25-year old victim was with other friends from inside the club when the 40-year old suspect came up close to him. The victim felt a sharp pain on his side and the suspect fled the scene. The victim suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to the upper part of his body. Sunday: At around 2AM in the morning, a 38-year old white male was pushed up against a wall by two suspects.  The suspects, a white and Hispanic male in their 20's, proceeded to go through the victims pockets and steal his cell phone and his wallet. The suspects fled the scene.
