Back in April, we told you about a juice company that was planning to set up shop at the Proxy Project this summer. On Friday, Juice Shop will make its first appearance at the location -- but not quite how we expected.
The kiosk that will eventually house Juice Shop, dubbed the "Juice Box," is still "in the process of getting fabricated," Juice Shop's Jake Gulick told us yesterday. It will become a permanent fixture at Proxy when it is completed in the coming months. In the meantime, Juice Shop will be rolling up in their new Mobile Juice Shop (pictured above) -- a converted 1963 Dodge van. Jake tells us most of the time the van will be at Proxy, but it will also roam the city doling out the company's line of juices, cleanses, and elixirs. You'll be able to track its whereabouts by following Juice Shop on social media. Friday's debut will be an event alongside Basic Training, a local outdoor fitness program. For more details, keep an eye on Juice Shop's Twitter and Facebook pages.
