If you're looking for a new kind of bar experience, head to 370 Grove tonight, where you'll find a pop-up cocktail adventure at Muka.
It's a new Monday night tradition called "The Love Boat," hosted by bartenders Brian Felley and Mo Hodges, previously of Big. While they have a few nautical/tropical-themed cocktails available, they prefer to craft each drink to a customer's desires. Or, as they put it, The Love Boat features "top san francisco bartenders working without a menu." Food at the event is provided by Tango and Stache, a.k.a. Ryan Robles and Joshua Wilder Oakley, who on a recent Monday served up squash blossom tortilla tacos topped with all kinds of pork, a free range duck egg, and summer salsa. Expect the menu to change from week to week. The Love Boat sets sail each Monday night from 5pm to 2am at Muka, 370 Grove. For more info, visit the event's Facebook page.
