Hollywood Returns to Haight Street
If you're noticing a lot of trucks and trailers around the neighborhood this week, you're not alone.

Yesterday, film crews were posted on the 700 block of Haight Street and around the corners on Scott Street. A resident of the block tells us he received a notice about the filming last week, and that he believes it's the same HBO series that came here to film a pilot in early April. The show, which follows a gay video game developer and his friends in San Francisco, has since gotten the title Looking. It was picked up for an eight-episode season by HBO and will premiere some time next year. Yesterday's production was centered around 770 Haight, the same house used back in April (and in other productions like Big Sur and Milk). The operation was spread over a large part of the block, and even included an espresso truck parked across the street -- kind of ridiculous with The Grind just a few feet away, if you ask us.
Also yesterday, some Star Waggons were spotted further up Haight Street, and today they're stationed down by the US Mint: We're not 100% sure if these are part of the HBO production, though it would certainly make sense. Have you had any brushes with these mysterious invaders from La-La-Land this week? Let us know in the comments.
