The family of Sean Sidi, the 19-year-old who went missing in May after visiting a former teacher in Hayes Valley, will be holding a vigil tomorrow night in Golden Gate Park.
The vigil is meant to raise awareness about Sean and four other young men -- Chrishtian Hughes, Shawn Dickerson, Cameron Remmer, and Jackson Miller -- who all have gone missing in San Francisco since 2010. According to a press release issued by Sidi's family, young men who go missing in San Francisco receive less attention than young women. The families say they have "faced numerous barriers" with the SFPD in trying to locate their sons, and they want to shine a light on the concerns they have with the Police Department's efforts. Tomorrow (Saturday) night's vigil will occur at 2pm in Golden Gate Park's Music Concourse, next to the Academy of Sciences. All are welcome to attend.
