Amid the multiple
shootings happening throughout the city including just outside of the Castro in the
Lower Haight and the
Mission, reported crimes inside the Castro appear to be down from a few months ago when we were reporting multiple robberies and assaults per week. It's too soon to call this a trend or to attribute it to the multiple
safety meetings called for by Castro-area residents this year which put pressure on Mission and Park District Police Stations to step up patrols of the hood, but we are thankful nonetheless. Below is a listing of reported crimes from the SFPD since
our last report.
