Octavia Parcels Up For GrabsGoogle Earth
Three plots of land on the east side of Octavia Boulevard are about to hit the market.

Parcels R, S, and T are located on Octavia between Rose and Oak Streets. They are 3 of the 22 parcels owned by the state of California that were transferred to the city in 2000, following the post-quake demolition of the Central Freeway. Now, the city is requesting proposals for how these properties might be leased or purchased. According to the RFPs:
"City is interested in the development of the Sites with a residential or mixed-use development, consisting primarily of housing with neighborhood-serving retail uses. The City is seeking developers with the financial capacity, experience, and other qualifications to develop projects on the Sites."
Together, the three parcels total approximately 5,760 square feet of land. The Growing Home Community Garden, which currently occupies part of the site, would be evicted before any sale. Proposals are due February 21, 2014, and developers will be chosen March 14th. For more information, visit the SF Office of Economic and Workforce Development's website.
