An Update on Three Twins

An Update on Three Twins
The Three Twins scoop shop at 254 Fillmore Street, which was originally slated to reopen in June, is finally nearing completion.

Over the past five months, progress on the space -- and on Estela's next door -- has been agonizingly slow. We hear that it's not the tenants that have been holding things up, but renovation of the building itself. Now it appears that most issues have been resolved, and the spaces are being built out:
Three Twins founder Neal Gottlieb tells us they're still waiting for the installation of some countertops, among other final touches, but that the shop should be ready to open in December. Meanwhile, the company is preparing to open another San Francisco scoop shop -- this one at Fisherman's Wharf. The store will be located at 79 Jefferson Street, which recently was home to the Original Soupman company (a franchise inspired/advised by the Seinfeld "Soup Nazi"):

That Fisherman's Wharf shop should be open in about two weeks. As for Estela's, we're awaiting word on their reopening plans, and will update if/when we have info to share.
