Community Safety Update
Updates on a community safety meeting and Community Police Advisory Board projects.

Last Sunday the Panhandle was host to a public safety event involving the SFPD, Neighborhood Emergency Response Training and Safety Awareness for Everyone. The turnout was about 60 people, according to neighbor Sean Sullivan, and also included an official presentation of the new walkway through the park at Ashbury. The goal was increased neighborhood involvement in the Panhandle and better local police involvement. Sullivan also said he spoke Monday to Officer Matt Friedman about community initiatives, like bicycle registration. The next meeting is open to the public and scheduled for December 6 at the Park Station Community Room from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
