Many of our readers were wondering what was going to happen to the Christmas Tree lot that usually springs up next to the Swedish American Hall at the Intersection of Market, Sanchez, and 15th Street now that the Linea leasing office is occupying the space. The Delancey Street Christmas Tree lot had been the last standing Christmas Tree lot in the Castro ever since the new builds started popping up in empty lots. We stopped by the leasing office yesterday to see if they had any information. One of the leasing agents handed us a 8 1/2" x 11" flyer they just received that they are getting ready to put up on the chain linked fence surrounding the property. The flyer notes that the Christmas Tree lot is still happening, but the location has moved to Castro and 25th Street at the James Lick Middle School. So up and over the hill or the Safeway parking lot will be the most convenient places that we know of for people to grab a Christmas Tree this year. Let us know if you know of any other spaces around the Castro to get one.
