Reminder: Obama in Hayes Valley TodayFlickr/vpickering
Getting through the neighborhood might be a little tricky around midday today, as President Obama visits Hayes Valley for a fundraiser.

As we reported last week, Obama is scheduled to appear at the SFJAZZ Center at Fell and Franklin for a fundraiser benefiting the Democratic National Committee. Not many details about the luncheon have been released -- including its exact start time -- but it will reportedly feature performances by Herbie Hancock and Esperanza Spalding. Some protestors are also planning to make themselves heard during Obama's visit. The anti-war group CODEPINK, which is specifically critical of the military's use of drone strikes overseas, has scheduled a meetup at Patricia's Green at 11am today. From there, they'll march to the SFJAZZ Center -- or as close as they can get to it. You can certainly expect streets to be closed around the area of Fell and Franklin in the midday timeframe as the presidential motorcade makes its way through the neighborhood. At least one local resident received a notice saying as much: If you happen to catch a glimpse of today's action, let us know via Twitter or Instagram -- we're at @hayeswire.
