After more than 15 years as Wak Shack, the salon at 782 Haight Street is getting a new name.
Officially debuting on December 7th will be the new B Parlor. Owner Filomena Bettencourt decided to rename the salon after taking full control earlier this year. Bettencourt had been a Wak Shack employee since 2005, working her way up to manager, and now owner. She's retaining all of Wak Shack's staff, just giving the salon a new identity. To celebrate, B Parlor will be having a party on Saturday December 7th, in conjunction with the Lower Haight Art Walk. There will be wine, small bites, and music, plus free gift bags for the first 50 guests. It's scheduled for 6:30pm to 9pm.
