SFPD set up a command post at Laguna and Grove, clearing pedestrians from the area and going door-to-door to nearby businesses instructing them to shut their doors and stay off the sidewalks. As of noon, streets around Hayes and Laguna are currently blocked off.
We'll update as we get more information.
Update 12:28pm: The suitcase has been opened and the contents examined, and it appears that nothing suspicious was found. SFPD units are being released from the scene. Ivy Street will remain closed between Laguna and Buchanan as police wrap up their work, but other streets in the area are being reopened.
