So we're a little late to this NYE roundup party -- but better late than never?
Here are some Hayes Valley happenings tonight, ranging from a little pricey to... moreso.
Jardiniere: The restaurant at 300 Grove has planned two menus -- a four-course menu for seatings before 7:30pm, and a five-course after 8:30pm. They cost $165 and $225 per person, respectively. Both come with party favors, while the later seatings include a champagne toast at midnight. Two Sisters: When we think of Two Sisters, we usually think of great cocktails, but the bar has a killer kitchen as well. Tonight they've got two family-style seatings, one at 6pm and one at 8:30pm, for $85 per person. Space is limited, and tickets are no longer available online, but you may want to contact the bar and see if they can squeeze you in. Absinthe: The restaurant is adding special items to its menu tonight, including caviar canapé, shellfish fritto mist, rack-of-lamb lollipops, and milk chocolate parfait. It looks booked pretty solid, but you could try a walk-in, or arrive early and grab a seat at the bar. Nojo: Starting at 6pm, the restaurant at Franklin and Linden will be partying with a special menu heavy on soba noodles and ingredients like braised duck leg, lamb chop, and dungeness crab, in addition to their regular offerings. Reservations are "highly recommended." Hayes Street Grill: The Grill has a variety of New Years specials on tonight's lineup, including Hog Island oysters, dungeness crab (hey, it's in season) gratin, and braised short ribs, in addition to the standard menu. Bill Graham: Want to ring in the new year with some music? Stroll over to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Grove for the "Sea of Dreams" concert featuring Thievery Corporation, Little Dragon, A-Trak, and a dozen more artists. It's scheduled from 8pm to 3am, and general admission tickets are still available at $95 each. SF Symphony: Or, if you fancy, put on some dapper duds and head to the SF Symphony Masquerade Ball at 9pm. Enjoy a classical music concert, prosecco, and dessert. They'll even let you dance on stage. Tickets range from $115 to $195. SFJAZZ: The jazz center at Fell and Franklin has a New Years Eve Bash featuring percussionist Pete Escovedo and his Latin Jazz Orchestra. There'll be a champagne toast, party favors, and a balloon drop at midnight. Tickets range from $75 to $125. Rickshaw Stop: Sorry, Rickshaw is closed for a private event. Noir: Nope, Noir is closed until Thursday. You can also try your luck grabbing a drink at Brass Tacks, Sugar Lounge, Dobbs Ferry, or Place Pigalle -- we believe they'll all be open. Thanks for a great 2013, Hayes Valley. We'll catch you next year!
