Here are just a few of tonight's happenings around the 'hood.
4x5 Gallery hosts the opening of "San Francisco Found," a collection of large-format vintage photos from mid-20th Century San Francisco. The reception runs from 5pm to 9pm, and the show is up through January 12th. The new gallery at 457 Haight will debut its first exhibit, Cajun Rice. It's a group show featuring artists Pat Falco, Lola Rose Thompson, Luke Pelletier, Rye Purvis, Kool Kid Kreyola, Cate White, Michelle Guintu and Yarrow Slaps. Tonight's opening, which will also include live performances, runs from 5pm to 8pm; the show is on display through December 21st. Tonight marks the official re-launch party for B Parlor (formerly Wak Shack) at 782 Haight. From 6:30pm to 9pm, the salon will be offering 10% off all products, with specials on Bumble & Bumble. Be one of the first 50 guests and you'll snag yourself a swag bag, too. DSF (520 Haight) has new works by illustrator Drew Morrison, plus drinks from Cali Craft Brewery and 10% off everything in the store. UndergroundSF hosts Push The Feeling. DJs C.L.A.W.S. and Roche will be cranking out house music from 9pm to 2am, along with residents epicsauce DJs and YR SKULL. It's 21+, free before 10pm, $6 otherwise. Edo Salon (601 Haight) has live folk music and an art show by Madeleine Tonzi. Life (604A Haight) has a trunk show and 10% off all purchases. Idle Hand Tattoo (575 Haight) is offering its popular "Get What You Get" tattoos for $80. Maven will have absinthe popsicles. Groove Merchant is offering 15% off. Firehorse has art by Larissa Grant. Aline's Closet has a sale of 15% off jewelry. Glass Key Photo will have a live band playing outside. And on and on... Also, there's a neighborhood toy drive in effect. Drop off your new or gently used unwrapped toys, books, and clothes at Wing Wings, Nickies, D-Structure, Laundry Locker, Firehorse Salon, XAPNO orWak Shack Salon B Parlor. Donations can be made between now and December 13th, and will go to Toys For Tots.
