Preview: Tonight's Hayes Valley Holiday Block Party

In case this week's weather hasn't reminded you, it's December. And that means it's time for the annual Hayes Valley Holiday Block Party, happening tonight throughout the neighborhood.

Here are a few highlights:

• There will be a stage at Patricia's Green featuring live music from 6pm to 8:15pm, with a brass trio, a chorus, opera singers, and individual soloists keeping you entertained.
• The Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association will have a table at Patricia's Green where they'll dole out hot chocolate, cider, and cookies.
• Lavish (508 Hayes) will have a photo booth all night and spiked cider.
• Propeller (555 Hayes) will have custom pillow portraits, milk and cookies, and 11% off everything in the store.
• Fiddlesticks (540 Hayes) has popcorn, cider, face painting, and more.
• Cary Lane (560 Laguna) is offering 20% off everything in the store.

So put on your warmest coat, pray that the rain holds off, and get out there. Should be a fun night.
