Don't be surprised if you start to see 20th Century Cafe staying open past its usual closing time of 6pm.

The cafe at the corner of Gough and Oak is finding a new use for its space during evening hours: hosting pop-up dinners. The first such dinner will take place on Sunday, February 9th. It's called Fortress: Solitude & SF and is a collaboration of "cooks and friends" Eddie Lau and Luis Villavelasquez. The draft menu is composed of ten courses, including such dishes as vadouvan curry and dungeness on cappelini, and spruce-infused oil poached cod. There will be two seatings, at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Tickets ($60, with an optional $20 beverage pairing) are available here.
