It's the start of a new annual tradition tonight at Brass Tacks: Def Jamuary.
The night is billed as "an industry (and non-industry) party celebrating the golden era of Hip Hop and one of the most iconic labels of all time." The bar will be playing classic hip-hop tunes from the Def Jam label all night long. (Think LL Cool J, Public Enemy, and the Beastie Boys.) They'll also have $6 Don Julio margaritas, $4 Fernet shots, and $2 Trumers, in addition to their regular menu. This kicks off at 8pm tonight at Brass Tacks, 488 Hayes.
