We missed this bit of news at the end of last month, but we received a tip from one of our readers letting us know about Kasa Indian Eatery's (4001 18th Street) Noe-side wall that appeared smashed. We checked with Kasa and saw on their Facebook page that someone had indeed crashed into their restaurant with a white panel van. The force of the crash damaged the interior dining area, pushing the wall in nearly three feet. The incident happened the morning of December 24th, before the restaurant was open. Thankfully no one was hurt. For now, Kasa is still open serving yummy Kati rolls (a faux wall is covering the damage) and expects the Noe-side wall to be repaired within the next couple of months pending a structural report as requested by the property owner.
