Tonight, the former Sacred Heart Church at Fell and Fillmore will be the site of a special roller disco night.
For the past few months, The Church of 8 Wheels has been hosting popular roller skating nights at the location on Wednesday nights, but tonight it's opening on a Friday for a specific reason: Burning Man. The group is planning to host a roller disco at the playa this year, and they need to raise some money for a new floor, a bar, new skates, and more. Tonight's event runs from 8pm to midnight, and costs $10 to enter and $5 for skate rentals.
