Do you consider yourself a good dinner host? Like, good enough to win a hosting competition?

If so, the Urban Eating League invites you to host a few dozen strangers for an epic dinner tournament. Dubbed "The Big Eat" (not to be confused with 7x7's annual roundup of the same name), the tournament involves teams of eaters making their way around the Lower Haight, Panhandle, and Inner Mission, stopping at host sites for dinner. Hosts are given a budget of $100 with which to plan a meal for 30 people. The diners judge their hosts on creativity, hospitality, flavor, and execution. At the end of the night, the host with the highest overall score is crowned the winner. The Big Eat takes place on Saturday, March 8th. If you're interested in hosting, click here. And if you'd like to be an eater, you can get your tickets on Tuesday -- info will be posted here.
