Tomorrow, Saturday March 8 from 10 AM to noon is your next chance to hear about upcoming proposed service changes to the 6 line.
The meeting will be held by the SFMTA to discuss upcoming citywide changes, including those to our own little hamlet, and will be held at the second floor auditorium at 1 South Van Ness. The service changes relevant to the Haight (other than changed service frequency) includes re-routing the 6 to bypass the hill above Haight Street as part of the new Transit Effectiveness Project. Public meetings not your style? No big. You can still tell the city exactly how you feel, right here. Don't be shy. On a related note, now you can say it with your shirt, instead of (in addition to?) constantly saying it with your face.

That's right: the Fuckin' Muni shirt you've always needed. Oakland-based photographer (if you're not following his photo blog, you should be) and all-around treasure Brian Brophy (aka TheTensSF) took a phrase he "mumbled to himself on numerous occasions" and put it on a t-shirt in Muni's own iconic font. Genius.
They come in women's XS-L ($18), men's S-L ($18), and men's XL-XXL ($19). They're printed on American Apparel tees made in the Bay Area.
Here's where to buy.
