Happy Fat Tuesday! Let’s get this party started.

In honor of Mardi Gras (translation: Fat Tuesday), Hayes Valley is the starting line of the annual parade (translation: trombones in motion). Beginning at Place Pigalle (Octavia + Hayes), the parade will feature Brass Mafia, North Beach Brass Band, Brass Band Mission, Fillmore Wax, and few other guest musicians as they march a few blocks toward Market Street. After the parade, there's going to be an evening show at Brick & Mortar (1710 Mission). The parade is free, but the show costs $12 in advance ($15 at the door). The evening will include Wil Blades, Jazz Mafia Horns, Brass Band Mission, and the Stanford Marching Band. Have fun with all your beads. UPDATE (9:45am): The parade will begin at 5pm.
