The weekend is almost upon us, and there's much fun to be had in the neighborhood. Here's your handy roundup.
Tonight it's another Throwback Thursday at Two Jacks (401 Haight). From 4pm to 7pm, enjoy 1977 prices on the restaurant's entire menu, including seafood, burgers, beers and more.
Then head across the street to UndergroundSF (424 Haight), for the weekly event that is Bubble. Enjoy house music from Marissa Guzman and a slew of other DJs from 10pm to 2am. The event is free and 21+.
Tomorrow (Friday), get up early and throw on some comfortable shoes for Walk to Work Day. It's a "fun and festive day of encouragement celebrating the most healthy, sustainable form of transportation: walking." Because commuting by foot doesn't have to be pedestrian!
Tomorrow night, Cafe International (508 Haight) hosts its regular Friday open mic night. The show officially starts at 7pm, but if you're interested in performing, get there early to put your name on the list.
Also tomorrow night, Peacock Lounge (552 Haight) hosts an American Hustle-inspired, '70s-themed Costume Dance Party. Expect multiple DJs spinning disco tunes, a cash bar, and plenty of dancing. Costumes required.
On Saturday night, return to the Peacock Lounge to celebrate Idle Hand Tattoo's 10th anniversary. There will be tunes by DJs Eye-Man and Roost Uno, and a Ramones cover band called The Remones. The party starts at 8pm, but stop by the shop at 575 Haight at noon for $100 get-what-you-get tattoos.
On Sunday afternoon, Uva Enoteca (568 Haight) invites you to a wine tasting class. Enjoy 6 different Italian wines from Uva's menu, selected by sommelier Davide Fabbian. The class runs from 3:30pm to 5pm and costs $40 per person. Email [email protected], or call 415-829-2024 to make your reservation.
Finally, all weekend long, Vinyl Dreams (593 Haight) will be hosting a big sale on certain records from its collection. Get 20% off titles that were released before November 2013, and 25% off titles from September 2013 and earlier. The sale runs in-store only, tomorrow through Sunday.
Anything we missed? Let us know in the comments. Otherwise, happy weekending.
