If you've been meaning to brush up on your local murals, historic buildings and landmarks, you'd better mark your calendars.
Next Saturday, April 19 from 10am to 12:30pm, you'll be able to join a guided tour of public art large and small along Haight Street and ending in the Upper Haight.
The two-and-a-half mile walk starts at 20th Century Cafe in Hayes Valley (198 Gough Street) and ends at the Pork Store Cafe (1451 Haight).
The tour, which will be led by art enthusiasts Bhautik Joshi and Anna Bloom, is associated with ArtAround, a crowdsourced art-mapping app created by Bloom. It's slated to cover public art big and small, from the Koshland learning garden to the Buena Vista Park Spreckels house.
The tour is free to Walk SF members and $10 for non-members. It'll also include the expertise of guest speakers like San Francisco State University professor Jason Henderson and CommunityGrows director Barbara Wenger, plus local artists to-be-announced.
