The 10th annual Small Business Week begins today and Hayes Valley is hosting a sidewalk sale this Saturday as a culmination of the citywide event. 
According to the Small Business Week website, this event is designed to honor the 85,000+ businesses and entrepreneurs that are based in San Francisco. 

The week will be packed with a series of educational and networking events for small business owners and employees. Programs include topics like "Starting a Business in San Francisco" and "Who's Your Jenny? How to Identify Your Target Market".

To put a local touch to the event, the Hayes Valley Merchants Association is hosting a sidewalk sale this Saturday. A variety of businesses will have bargains and sales set up in 4 main areas in the neighborhood:

  • Oak Street (between Webster & Gough)
  • Fell Street (between Buchanan and Gough)
  • Hayes Street (between Webster & Franklin)
  • Grove Street (between Buchanan & Franklin)
