Perhaps you had a rough work week, or the re-entry into reality after Burning Man is feeling a little painful. Whatever the reason for drinking, the 'hood has you covered with some tasty new cocktails, plus spots to watch the game.
  • If you like your 49ers games with hot dogs and beer on tap, head over to The Page this Sunday.  Starting at 1pm, they're hosting a happy hour 'til 7pm, with Kinto's chili con carnage and hot dogs grilling outside.
  • If you prefer a cocktail and a dish of Moroccan chicken with your 49ers game, head on over to Ziryab. If you need a reminder, the game starts at 1:25pm.
  • Madrone has launched the  “SOPA”, a honey cocktail with lavender gin and fresh lemon juice, Nopa honey and cava float.  And yes, "SOPA" is referencing "South of Popeyes", a new neighborhood terminology. We'll have to wait and see if this one catches on.
  • Local brewery Barrel Head announced this week that it plans to begin in-house cider making. Describing the pursuit of  "the funky, bone-dry kind that makes your cheeks rosy when you drink it," the Barrel Head team says they've purchased a cider press and are experimenting with pears and apples. They'll let us know (and we'll let you know) when the first batch of cider is ready.
  • Next weekend, La Urbana will be joining the "top players in the mezcal world" for an event at Public Works. On September 14th at 3pm, swing by for a smokey experience of mezcal tasting, art, and music. Tickets can be purchased here
  • Last but not least, Mini Bar's cocktail of the week contains house-made lemon sweet tea vodka with soda. Yummm.
Have a wonderful (and safe) weekend, Hoodline readers! And remember to always drink responsibly.
