Danielle Coulter is a local resident, person to an adorable black pug, and, perhaps most notably, a gardener. In fact, she used to work at the Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park, and she now does freelance garden design and maintenance.
In an effort to showcase the hidden gardens of the neighborhood and to rub elbows with her neighbors, Danielle is planning a walking tour of local gardens, and she's on the lookout for people who want their cultivation efforts featured.

Danielle says that the tour will start with her own garden, near Haight and Ashbury, and continue on foot to five or six more in the surrounding blocks. Her tentative date is September 28th (yes, the same Sunday as the Cole Valley Fair) at 1pm. No word on whether Iggi gets to join in the fun.

If you have a garden you think should be featured—"big, small, wild, minimal, veggie, flowers, foliage, love em all," says Coulter—you can email her at dcdesignsf [at] gmail [[dot]] com.

Once she's got a healthy list of local gardens, we'll update you on the itinerary and other pertinent details. In the meantime, save the date and get pruning.
