Lots Of Local Winners Featured In Final SF Bay Guardian IssuePhoto: Flickr / Brad.K
The San Francisco Bay Guardian published its final issue yesterday after 48 years in operation. The paper's parent company, San Francisco Media Co, announced the news on Tuesday, citing declining revenue and demographic shifts in its readership as reasons for the decision to shut the paper down.

Yesterday's edition was the alt-weekly's annual "Best of the Bay" issue, featuring reader picks and editors' choices in dozens of categories spanning food & drink, city living, arts & entertainment, and more.

Plenty of businesses, organizations, people and attractions in Hoodline's coverage area made the cut. Here are some of the local winners, as voted by SFBG readers:

And finally, thanks to the SFBG's readers for naming Hoodline "Best News Website."

The SFBG was an alternative news source known for its willingness to muckrake, call out shenanigans among the city's elite, and challenge the status quo. As such, it will be greatly missed by many.
