Divisadero's collection of high-quality barbecues, wine bars and fine dining are not going unrecognized by food critics. Zagat recently posted a roundup of "10 Hot Food Neighborhoods Around the USA", and the neighborhood came in strong at #3!
So, here's the latest on what's happening at restaurants around our corridor:
- Lulu McAllister, Nopa's wine director, was recognized in Zagat's "30 Under 30" roundup. Starting out as a hostess, she transitioned into wine director when the position opened 2013. Congrats Lulu for making the list!
- Mojo's aforementioned tap expansion is ready to go! The weather forecast for the weekend is perfect for sipping one of their new ales in the parklet.
- Chile Pies saw some recognition from 7x7 in their "7 Best Pies, Ranked" roundup. Chile Pies & Ice Cream’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie came in at number two. And yes, you can get that in a pie shake.
- The opening of Brenda's Meat & Three has created quite a buzz in our soul-food loving city. Zagat, Tablehopper and The Bold Italic have all hopped on the bandwagon to offer their take on the new joint.
- If you've been daydreaming about a dinner with The Mill's famous bread master Josey Baker, this Monday (11/17) is your chance. Jardiniere will be serving a 3-course meal with Josey's bread included in each dish. More info and reservations here.
- Finally, don't miss any of the food-related happenings during NOW! To name two: Feed Your Mind is happening at St. Cyprian's this Sunday 11/16, and a Panhandle Pajama Cereal Party is happening on Wednesday 11/19.
Happy eating and drinking, Hoodline readers!
