Final Days For KK Cafe And P-KOK Eden, Plus More Lower Haight LeftoversFred Lyon
Change is in the air this weekend, as four closures are upon us, while two familiar story topics celebrate their second incarnations.

First, today is the final day to catch the Fred Lyon Photography exhibit at the Harvey Milk Photo Center (50 Scott Street). As we profiled back in November, the exhibit features Lyon's vintage photographs of the city from the '50s and '60s. The Photo Center is open today from noon to 4:30pm.

Tomorrow (Sunday) marks the final day in operation for P-KOK Eden, the boutique at 776 Haight Street. The shop will be throwing a goodbye party from 1pm to 6pm with live music, belly dancing, and 50% off everything in the shop.

After more than a month-long hiatus, work resumes on the Sunset Tunnel Trackway Improvement Project this weekend, meaning the tunnel will be shut down until 5am Monday morning. Shuttle buses will run between Church & Duboce and Ocean Beach, as per usual.

And as we mentioned last week, KK Cafe at Divisadero and Haight closes for good on Tuesday. While their famous peanut milk might live on via delivery, the days are numbered for the rest of the menu, so get thee to KK while you can.

In happier news, it's been a year since Three Twins reopened on Fillmore Street, and to celebrate, the shop is throwing an anniversary sale. All weekend long, swing by the shop to get 3 pre-packed pints for $10.

And finally, the neighborhood gets a new moment in the spotlight on Sunday, as the second season of Looking debuts on HBO. Hoodline readers will recall that the show filmed for a few weeks in the area this autumn, at locations including a house on the 700 block of Haight and the Halloween pop-up store at the former Blockbuster on Church Street. We'll see how the locales translate to the small screen.

Happy weekend.
