This weekend, the N-Judah is running shuttle buses and the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed for business. On the positive side, Inner Sunset cabin fever is easily treated. Ask your doctor if the Inner Sunset Weekend Roundup is right for you.

Saturday:

Arizmendi Bakery

Visit Arizmendi Bakery to order something from their weekend-only bread schedule. On Saturday, the renowned  co-op accepts phone orders for coffee cake, provolone-olive bread, apple-sage sourdough, sesame-sunflower bread and wolverine loaves (the last three are vegan).

Arizmendi Bakery (415-566-3117) is located at 1331 9th Ave. and opens at 7:30am on weekends.

Hidden Garden Steps Cleanup

The Hidden Garden Steps are a public art project created and maintained by volunteers at 16th & Kirkham. Created over three years and launched in 2013, a wall mural, public garden and steps covered with intricate mosaic connect Kirkham with Lawton.

On the second Saturday of each month (unless it’s raining heavily), volunteers gather to clean the steps and perform basic maintenance. If you’d like to join them, gloves and cleaning tools will be provided.

Meet up to start cleaning at 1pm at 16th Ave. and Kirkham St.; work continues until 3pm.

Sunday:

Guitar Play Date, Taraval Police Station

Police stations are also community centers, which is why the San Francisco Classical Guitar Society is holding an open mic night at the Taraval Police Station this Sunday at 7pm.

According to its Meetup page, soloists and groups at all levels of skill and experience (and their fans) are invited. “It's a pleasant opportunity to brave playing in front of others who know how hard it is.”

Organizers recommend taking the L-Taraval or parking on Santiago; the event starts at 7pm at the Taraval Police Station, 2345 24th Ave.

Monday:

Inner Sunset Toddlers Playgroup Meetup

Are you a stay-at-home parent with a child aged 2-3? Join the Inner Sunset Toddlers Playgroup Meetup group. If approved, you'll be able to join other moms, dads and wee ones on Monday for tales and playtime at 10:30am and/or baby and toddler rhymes and playtime at 2pm. For location details, apply for group membership on its Meetup page.

Tuesday:

Green Apple Books/Facebook

"The Vegetarian Flavor Bible," Green Apple Books on the Park

Drop by Green Apple Books on the Park at 7pm on Tuesday for a conversation about The Vegetarian Flavor Bible between author Karen Page and Chef Eric Tucker of Millennium Restaurant.

Page, the recipient of two James Beard Awards, has penned a encyclopedic guide that classifies “hundreds of plant-based ingredients, and the herbs, spices, and other seasonings that best enhance their flavor,” according to the event description. After the discussion, Page’s husband and co-author Andrew Dornenberg will join Chef Tucker to sign books for attendees.

Green Apple Books on the Park is located at 1231 9th Ave. between Irving and Lincoln; the discussion starts at 7pm.
