The weather's warming up, and the days are (slowly) getting longer. If you have a little extra spring in your step and time in your schedule, here's what's to know about happenings in the neighborhood this week.
- Workshop is hosting some unusual classes this month and next. "Beauty School Rebel - Valentines Sex Kitten Edition" will take place this Wednesday, January 21st. If that's not quite your style, try "Hooch 101 - Artisanal Cocktails With Bay Area Booze" on Friday January 23rd. A complete list of Workshop's classes can be found here.
- Wes from Wesburger is rumored to be making some interesting mashups at his weekly Mojo pop-up on Wednesday nights. Frito pie burgers, reuben tots with barbecued pastrami, and–we've heard–an In n' Out-influenced creation. Swing by and let us know if animal-style is an option.
- Madrone's best happy hour entertainment is on schedule for this Thursday. Macy Blackman's New Orleans-style R&B and soul music is a must-see for those who haven't yet witnessed his prowess. Swing by between 6pm and 9pm to catch him in the act.
- Last but not least, mark your Friday nights in February for pizza. The Mill is having so much success with its Monday pizza nights that it's expanding to Fridays as well. That means that starting in February, you'll get your pick of two nights a week on which to partake in Josey Baker's creations. Will it cut down on the lines? Only time will tell.
See you out there, Hoodline readers!
